We will teach a Social Studies unit, then a Science unit and then back to Social Studies, etc.

All curriculum areas will be addressed as appropriate in the outdoor classroom, including math, ELA, and writing.

As you can see, Social Studies in Second Grade is focused on what it means to be a community, and specifically our local community of Rye. We hope to utilize local resources as we explore our amazing town in many different ways.
